Over the years, the Society has conducted a new number oral history interviews. In the early years, these were conducted using cassette tapes and in more recent times, we have been slowly digitising these recordings.
In 2016, the Society conducted an oral history project, Bayside Stories. This project has now wound up but we continue to collect oral histories from anyone willing to participate.
If you would like to share your memories of Wynnum/Manly/Lota whether it be from yesterday or from long ago, please email oralhistory@wmhs.org.au or phone our Librarian, Jill Greenhill on phone 3393 3208 who will coordinate with a volunteer and arrange a convenient time to meet with you to discuss.
If you are interested in being part of the oral history team to conduct interviews with interested people, please let us know. We are also keen to hear from anyone who is interested in transcribing the interviews.
